Advancing light-based technologies for communication, sensing, and integrated optics.
Illuminate Your FutureThe IEEE Photonics Society is dedicated to advancing the field of light science and its applications, focusing on lasers, fiber optic communications, optical sensing, and photonic integrated circuits.
To empower students in the design, fabrication, and application of photonic devices, fostering innovation that drives the next generation of high-speed data transfer and optical technologies.
To be the primary platform for CUET students to engage with cutting-edge research in photonics, developing experts who will shape the future of light-speed communication and bio-sensing.
LightMesh 1.0, a five-episode talk series by the IEEE Photonics Society CUET Chapter, crafted to take you on an immersive journey through the evolving world of light-based technologies.
Topics Covered:
The IEEE Photonics Society CUET Chapter organized an engaging “Basic PHOTONICS” workshop that introduced students to the fundamentals of photonics and its emerging research frontiers. Led by Dr. Md. Istiaque Reja, the session blended core concepts, global research insights, and practical guidance on thesis development and scientific publication.
With 70+ participants, the workshop fostered curiosity, mentorship, and multidisciplinary collaboration—motivating many undergraduates to begin their own photonics-focused research journeys.
