IEEE stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Founded in 1884, it has become the world's largest technical professional organization.

Through decades of growth and global impact, IEEE has established itself as a leading force in technological advancement and knowledge dissemination. It encompasses 39 technical Societies and multiple Technical Councils, publishes hundreds of peer-reviewed journals and magazines, and manages the largest digital engineering library in the world - the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, which houses millions of technical documents. In addition, IEEE drives innovation globally by sponsoring thousands of conferences, symposiums, and technical events every year and by developing and maintaining hundreds of international technical standards that serve as the backbone for modern telecommunications, computing, power systems and many other fields.
